50 Questions to Get to Know Me Better

Rob at movierob and Abbi at abbiosbiston have posted entries: “50 Questions to Get to Know Me Better”, and I have decided to follow suit since it looks fun and I am always ready for that kind of a challenge (and, maybe also because I have decided to do something different since tomorrow my blog is 6 years old (not a baby anymore)). Whoever else would like to take up the challenge, I am sure is welcome too!

A book that you read in school that positively shaped you?

I loved Dickens’ “Bleak House”: not only this book contributed to my passion for the English law, but I found the main heroine there very inspiring.

That is the question, isn’t it?

But, of course, dogs! They are so intelligent, friendly and loyal. My favourites are large and medium-sized dog breeds, such as the Golden Retriever, the German Shepherd, Labrador and Border Collie. Stunning dogs. Some day, I hope I will buy a puppy.

    1. Thank you! I don’t usually like doing that “Blog Anniversary” thing every year. I did it last year, because my blog was 5 years old, and I think I will just wait when it is 10 years old to do another one (if that time every comes, of course) lol

  1. Wasn’t sure whether you are male or female as your name dbmoviesblog doesn’t give much away. The “heels” question gave me the answer!

I can relate to a curiosity for life, and “recuperating” with music and blogging.

Didn’t Benedict Cumberbatch pronounce “penguin” in an odd way? Think I saw that on Graham Norton

    1. Yes, I am a female 🙂
Uh, you are so right! Cumberbatch was shamed for his saying of this word during a nature documentary, but than on that show he says the responsibility for him saying it odd should also fall upon all the crew working on the documentary. *Yeah, yeah*. As I love this animal so much, I also love this word. It somehow always makes me smile.

    1. Glad to know you also liked Bleak House. It seems like these days it is hard to find people enthusiastic about Dickens.
I hardly ever watch TV series, maybe that is why the version of Bleak House with Gillian Anderson passed me by. Due to the size of the book, it might have been a better decision to do a TV series rather than a film, though. Someday, like you, I will give it a watch.
